This long-awaited project addresses the century-old promise of a rail line between Brisbane and the Greater Moreton Bay Region, easing congestion on the Bruce Highway and enhancing regional connectivity.
Delivered by Thiess, the $1.147 billion Moreton Bay Rail (MBR) project, funded by the Australian and Queensland governments and the Moreton Bay Regional Council, includes a 12.6-kilometre dual-track passenger line, six new rail stations, a stabling yard at Kippa-Ring, and a shared user path.
Klenner Murphy Electrical played a key role in this project, providing comprehensive electrical services essential for its success. Our team installed lighting, power systems, signaling, and communication networks, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the rail link.
The Moreton Bay Rail project is set to deliver significant economic, social, and environmental benefits by improving traffic flow, reducing noise and pollution, and encouraging active transport solutions. This project exemplifies Klenner Murphy Electrical’s commitment to delivering high-quality electrical solutions that support sustainable infrastructure development and meet the needs of growing communities.
